COACHES
Aztec Tigers Basketball Club are committed to supporting our coaches. Our coaches have access to a chat group where they can seek and provide support with other coaches. We also encourage all of our coaches to engage in free skills sessions and accreditation courses. The cost of Basketball Victoria courses is reimbursed by our club.
All of our teams have a Head Coach and many of them also have Assistant Coaches as well.
TEAM MANAGERS
Each team is required to have a Team Manager as a contact person between parents and coach/es.
AGE GROUP COORDINATORS
Our club has an Age Group Coordinator (AGC) for each boys and girls age group. At the end of every season, our AGC prepares teams for the following season ahead of schedule. Once all players are allocated, they also seek coaches and team managers for each team. They are then responsible for all correspondence required to ensure all players and volunteers are registered correctly. Once the season begins, they are required to monitor the performance of all teams during the grading period and select the appropriate division for all teams. During the season, AGC's are also the contact person between team staff members and the club committee.
CLUB COMMITTEE
Our club is operated by a volunteer committee. Though not required, most committee members have a child playing basketball, or they are a coach within our club. All committee members have different roles with varying levels of skills and commitment. We are always on the lookout for new committee members.
If you are interested in joining as a volunteer, please register your interest by contacting the clubor on your registration form at the start of each season

1. MANDATORY STEP - REGISTER YOURSELF
Basketball Victoria requires all Aztec Tigers volunteers to be registered on PlayHQ, separate from our Majestri records. Please use the Club-wide link to register for the season.
Please note:
You will need a valid Working with Children's Check to complete the registration.
2. MANDATORY STEP - HOLD A VALID WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWCC) OR RECOGNISED EXEMPTION (VIT CARD/VIC POL/AFP)
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWCC)
It is mandated by federal government that all volunteers over the age of 18, require a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) in accordance with the legislation. The only exceptions to this are teachers who are currently registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and current serving Victorian Police Officer or Australian Federal Police officers (not under suspension).
If you haven't registered for a WWCC with Aztec Tigers before, apply via this link. It's an easy online process and for volunteers it's free. Without the WWCC, you will not be allowed to volunteer. Once you receive your card please take a photo of it and email it to the Club Secretary.
